教材分析

本课是第五单元Signs的第一课时，主要内容是Story time.本单元的话题是“公共标志”。教师在教学过程中要紧密联系生活实际，引导学生关注标识、讨论标识，做遵守公共法规和秩序的社会公民。

教学目标：

知识目标：

1.能听懂、会说、会读单词：signs,mean,litter,around,careful,restaurant,shopping centre,

someone,floor,smoke,go in,take…into；

2.能听懂、会说、会读句型：What does it mean?It means…No littering/smoking/eating or drinking,Wet floor. You can’t…；

3.能正确朗读、理解Story time。

能力目标：能运用所学的句型和日常用语进行交流。

情感目标：紧密联系生活实际，引导学生关注标识、讨论标识，做遵守公共法规和秩序的社会公民。

Step 1 Preparation

Before class: Enjoy a song

1. Play a game

1) Rules(游戏规则)判断你所得到信息是否正确。

如果是正确的，请大声说“Yes”，

如果是错误的，请大声说“No”。

2) Show the signs

No climbing./Keep off the grass./No eating or drinking./No photos.

They are all signs.Signs are everywhere in our life! Signs are important! So today, we will learn U5 Signs. (揭题 Signs 学生朗读)

Step 2 Presentation

1. Let’s think:We can see signs everywhere. Where did you see the signs before?

S: We saw the signs in the cinema, library, shopping centre(ten), restaurant(want).

2. Look and say

T: Look, they are looking at the sign. Who are they?

3. Listen ,look,underline and order the pictures

T: Where did they go?

S: A shopping centre, a juice shop,a bookshop and a restaurant.(板书)

T: Can you use these sentences to talk about these places they went.

4. Read and match: What signs did they see?

5. Learn by yourselves自主阅读

T :What do the signs mean? This time, please learn by yourself. Here are some tips for you.

1.带着问题朗读课文，划出重点句子。

2.集体讨论，解决问题。What do the signs mean?

3.通过联系上下文、看图片、同伴互助等方式，学习文中其它生词。

T: We can see signs in many places. We can see signs in the museum, park and so on.There are many signs around us.Some of them are about rules and warnings, they tell us what we can do and can’t do. Some of them are about information.They help people.If we can keep the rules in mind and follow the signs,our city will be nice.
