Step 1 Free talk
1. Sing a song《Happy new year》.
2 .Talk about the New Year.
T: Do you like the New Year?
T: When is New Year’s Day?
In western countries , New Year’s Day is on the 1st of January. It is a very important holiday for them, like our Spring Festival. They usually go to parties. They also have a big dinner.
In China, The New Year’s Day is not a fixed (固定的)day. Sometimes it’s in January, and sometimes it’s in February.
T: Today, we are going to talk about the Chinese New Year.(揭题)
3.通过询问新年的打算引出be going to结构。
T: It’s going to Chinese New Year. What are you going to do? Do you have any plans?
You can use “I’m going to…”to answer.
Step 2 Presentation
1. 出示人物 Su Hai and Anna are talking about the New Year. Where do they talk?
How do you know? Whose email is it? Who is it from?
