教学目标】

1、在情景中三会掌握单词sofa, bedroomliving room, kitchen, bathroom

2、初步感知句型Where’s the …? Is it …? Yes, it is. /No, it isn’t. It’s … Where are the … ? They’re … ,并尝试运用这些句型来谈论单复数物品的方位。

3、通过看图、听录音和阅读等方式学习文本,把握文章的主要内容。

4、通过合作探究,提高学生英语语言的思维能力和交际能力。

5、通过对整理房间的交流,激发起学生对家的热爱之情。

Step 1 Pre- reading( Warm-up)

(一) Free talk&揭题

1. Greetings.

2. Sing a song

T: The tree is the bird’s home. (learn: home)

Look , this is our home.

Look at this home. What do you think of this home?

S: It’s very nice./beautiful/ smart./…

T: Yes, it’s a new home. It’s the twins’ new home.

(揭题&read Our new home)

3. Enjoy some pictures of rooms.

T: Do you want to visit their new home? Let’s go.(配乐观看一系列家庭内饰PPT

(二) Activities

1. What rooms do they have?

Learn the new words about rooms: bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen.

(1) a bedroom

T: What can you see in the room? What can we do in the room?

T: Yes, there’s a bed in the room. And we can sleep in the room. So it is a …

(2) a bathroom

T: How about this one? There’s a bath in the room .we can have a bath, brush our teeth and wash our face. So it is a …

T: Look at the two words: bedroom and bathroom. They are all combined by two words. They are compounds. 合成词:两个或以上的英文构成的单词。

We can sit and have a rest in the living room. We can also watch TV.

2. T: Su Hai’s family are going to the new home. And they would like to take many things to their new home. What are they?

Know the words about the furniture: a clock, a fridge, a sofa, a table

Learn the words: sofa, table

We can put a sofa and table in the living room.

Step 2 While-reading ( Presentation and practice )

1. Watch and tick

T: Now, they have some furniture. They are going to their new home, but there’s something happened. They can’t find their personal things. What are they looking for? Let’s watch cartoons.

Listen and answer the question: What are Su Hai and Su Yang looking for?

2. Let’s imagine

T: Su Hai and Su Yang can’t find their personal things. What can they say? Let’s imagine. If you are Su Yang. What can you say? For example, I can’t find my bag. Where’s my bag? How about this cap, can you say something about it?

If you are Su Hai, what can you say?

3. Read and find

T : Do you know: where are they? Let’s read and try to find the answer.

Q1: Where’s Su Yang’s bag? It’s in the bedroom.

4. Let’s summary

T: Boys and girls, look at these three sentences. Here we use ”where is” and here we use “where are”, why? We rules can you find?
