1)掌握四个节日的英语表达Spring Festival、Halloween、 Children’s Day、Mid-Autumn Festival、people。
2)掌握句型When’s …? It’s in… What do people usually do at/on…? They usually …并能根据实际情况正确熟练地运用句型。
3)了解中西方的一些节日,并能知道不同国家和地区对于节日不同的庆祝方式。

Step 1 Warming up.

Step 2 Presentation (1)
1) T: Do you like it? Can you sing it?
Ss: Yes.
T: People often sing it on“New Year’s Day”. Look! (大屏幕上出现新年和春节)
T: Who can read it?
S1: New Year’s Day.
T: In other countries, we call New Year’s Day. In China, we call “Spring Festival”.
Ss read “Spring Festival”.
T: When’s Spring Festival?
S: It’s in January or February.
T: Yes, very good. (同时板书Jan. or Feb.)
2) T: Let’s go on. Listen and guess. 同时播放中秋节音乐。
S: It’s Mid-Autumn Festival.
T: Yes or no ? Let’s look at the picture. Yes, it’s Mid-Autumn Festival. Now read after me. (同时板书Mid-Autumn Festival) 学生齐读和分小组读。
T: When’s Mid-Autumn Festival? Let’s look.
T: It’s in September or October.
T: Yes, very good. (同时板书Sep. or Oct.)
3) T: Let’s go on. Listen and guess. 同时播放儿童节音乐。
4)T: Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival are Chinese holidays. Do you want to know some holidays in the other countries? Good, let’s listen and guess. 同时播放儿童节音乐。
S: It’s Halloween.
T: Yes or no ? Let’s look at the picture. Yes, it’s Halloween. Now read after me. (同时板书Halloween) 学生齐读和分小组读。
T: When’s Halloween?
S: It’s in October.
T: Yes , you are very clever.(同时板书Oct.) Please practice in pairs, use “When’s …? It’s in…”

T: We also can ask “What do people usually do at Spring Festival?”(同时播放课件,并读people一词。把原来板书的you改为people)We can answer “They usually…”. (把原来板书的I改为They.然后师生之间进行新句型操练,然后生生间练习。) Did you eat a lot of delicious food last Spring Festival?
S: Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t.
2)T:What do people usually do at Mid-Autumn Festival? Now let’s look at the pictures. Yes. They watch the moon and eat moon cakes.
(学习watch the moon和eat moon cakes两个短语。)
T:Did you watch the moon last Mid-Autumn Festival?
S: Yes, I did. It was beautiful.
3)T:What do people usually do on Children’s Day ? Look. The two girls are singing and dancing. How happy they are!
S:They usually sing and dance.
T: Yes. They also usually have parties at school.
(学习sing and dance和have parties at school两个短语。)
T: Did you sing and dance last Children’s Day?
S: No, I didn’t. /Yes, I did. (请学生唱。)
4)T:Look at the picture, they are having a party. Who can ask me ‘What do people usually do on Halloween?’
T: I can answer ‘They dress up in costumes and go to parties.’

T: Do you know Halloween? Let’s look at the screen.(播放录像,学生看介绍。)
(Halloween是西方节日,在此让学生听描述,去了解西方节日风俗和文化内涵。)

T: 指着幻灯片的介绍问:We also can say ‘It’s on …’
S: It’s on the 31st of October.(教师在黑板原来板书的Oct.后加上31)

先播放录像的例子,然后让学生练习。
a) People spend time with their family. They also eat moon cakes and watch the moon. (Mid-Autumn Festival)
b) They usually dress up in costumes and have parties. It is on the thirty-first of October. (Halloween)
c) It is in January or February. People eat a lot of delicious food. They usually spend time with their family and friends. (Spring Festival)
d) It is the 1st of June. Children usually have parties at school. (Children’s Day)
