Step1: Free talk

T: Where do you live? How do you come to school?

Ss: On foot./ By car./ By schoolbus.

T: （如果有学生回答by bus 引出take a bus并引出 I think your home is far from your school. So you take a bus to come to school.）drill: take a bus

T: How far is it from your school?

Ss:...

T: I think that’s a long walk.

drill: How far is it from here? 渗透That’s a long walk.

Step2: Presentation

1.出示Mr Smith人物

T: Who is he? Do you want to know sth. about him?

让学生先提问： Who? Where? What?

再呈现问题Listen and answer: (听第一段引言部分录音)教：history museum,the way to…点题：Unit3 Asking the way

（设计思路：用问题What is Mr. Smith doing?引出文本，感知点题——问路。并用选择题的形式解决词组the way to…）

2.听对话第一部分：迅速找出文中Mr. Smith的问句，用笔划出来,并读几遍,理解句意。

T: How does Mr Smiths ask the way?

①Excuse me, can you tell me the way to the history museum, please?

Go along this street, and then turn right at the third crossing. The museum is on your left. You can’t miss it.
